Terms of service

  1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms of service, the privacy policy, the refund policy, and the shipping policy of AvoraSafe Inc.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your province, to place an order on this site.

3. Products and descriptions

We strive to present accurate descriptions, images, and prices. If a typographical or pricing error is found after a contract has been formed, we will contact you promptly to find a solution that respects your consumer rights — including confirming the corrected price with your agreement, replacing the item with an equivalent product, or issuing a full refund — in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (Québec).

4. Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) and do not include applicable sales tax, which is calculated based on the province or territory of delivery at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Shopify Payments and the other payment providers offered on the site.

5. Orders

If an ordered product is out of stock, or if fraud is suspected, we will contact you promptly to find an appropriate solution that respects your consumer rights. We do not unilaterally cancel orders outside the cases provided for by law; if a refund is the applicable solution, it is issued in full for any payment already collected.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this site (text, images, logo, layout) belongs to AvoraSafe Inc. or is used with permission from its suppliers and the respective rights holders, including for product images and descriptions provided by our supply partners. This content may not be reproduced without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder.

7. Limitation of liability

The products sold on this site are safety and independence aids and do not replace medical or professional advice. AvoraSafe Inc. cannot be held liable for the improper use of a product or for indirect damages arising from its use. This clause is not intended to exclude or limit any legal warranty or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the Consumer Protection Act (Québec), the Civil Code of Québec, or any other applicable law, which remain in full force.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the province of Québec and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without depriving the consumer of the public-order protections they are entitled to under the laws of their place of residence.

9. Changes

We may modify these terms at any time; the version in effect at the time of your order applies.

10. Rights provided by law

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit the cancellation rights that apply to distance contracts, or the rights that apply in the event of a delivery delay, provided for by the Consumer Protection Act (Québec) and any other applicable law. These rights remain in full force; for their exact scope, consult the applicable law or the Office de la protection du consommateur.
